TEARDROPS FROM THE SKY

I wait at the gate, just because you are late, I don't care.
It's quarter to four been here and hour, maybe more, I don't care.
Something must be wrong, I've been here so long, I don't care.
I look down the lane, now it's started to rain, but your there
"Sorry" you say to me, but you don't look into my eyes,
You take my hand, we walk by the lake, as the rain starts to fall from the skies.

Something's not right, between us tonight, tell me do.
Your hands cold in mine, we walk out of rhythm, tell me do.
The words that we say, were stale yesterday, tell me do.
That look in your eyes, is full of goodbye's, is it true.
We sit on a bench, where we both carved our names in the wood,
Your smile, turn away, turn again, start to say, that it's just working out no good.

To stop you I try, but words pass me by, please don't go.
We'll try it once more, be better than before, please don't go.
Is it really the end? can't we try it to mend, please don't go.
Please don't go away, that with me your stay, but I know that the answer is no.
My world falls down around me, as the rain falls from the skies.
You wlak slowly away, don't even turn to wave, and the rain matches the tear drops in my eyes
