THE FIRST SIGNS OF SPRING

Nature has a brand new dress, in a vivid shade of green
Taken from the seasons wardrobe, fresh and bright and clean
Spring showers like a magic wand wash winters grime away
The sun just seems to smile, on this the first spring day
Bright birds fill the airways with a welcome springtime song
And the days seem to last just a that little more long
Flowers poke their heads through the earth to greet the morning sun
And soft pink tipped evening sun sets are there when day is done
It is a new beginning, a welcome gateway to summertime.
Brings forth love, life and hope, and encourages poets words to rhyme
