RED, WHITE & BLUE
(FOR THE QUEENS GOLDEN JUBILEE)

A millon people so they say
Filled the Mall in London today.
A place I a few times, have been surrounded by a throng,
But at the end of a marathon you can't burst into song.

Flags hung from every tree and nook
Millons there to have a look
Singing, smiling, this fairy tale story
And ending with Land of Hope and Glory

From every country, nation, or so it did seem
They were there, to celebrate with my queen.
Flags flying, pushing closer, a look to crave.
To see the family smile, or the Queen to wave

A sea of colour, reaching to the sky
Matched by the trail of the planes fly by.
The nation, the country, the world gave a cheer
To help celebrate your 50th year.

And me, I am thousands of miles away
But my heart was with you on this day
I whatched tears pricking my eyes with pride
From the cheering crowd, to the golden coach ride

Many miles away, but I did my part
My country is always deep in my heart
Flying from my balcony fresh and new
The emblem of the flag I love, the red, white and blue
